Terms & Conditions



Only approved and recognized societies may apply for funding, all qualified societies have been noted by the society reps. 



All applications will enter 2 rounds of approval before being approved. 1st round will be under the discretion of the Society Reps where the New Societies Constitution will be used to accept / deny applications. 2nd round, MedSoc President will approve / deny applications dependent on the relevance of your funding to your society and the amount needed. 



Under the new funding system, your society will be in one of the three tiers which will determine you total funding limit for the year

• Tier 1 – £150
• Tier 2 – £120
• Tier 3 – £60 


There is a maximum withdrawal amount of 1/3 of your total funding per term. You can only exceed this amount with prior agreement from the society reps which is to be done before you send off your application. 



If you’re unaware of what tier your society is please message one of the society reps for this information. 



Please be aware that your funding request can be denied hence we recommend you apply before your event. We will deny applications that ask for reimbursement for unjustified expenses i.e. dinners, items that have no relation to the society, unreasonably expensive items, event refreshements (please refer to the constitution for more information). If you’re struggling on cash flow / financing your event please contact a society rep and we would be more than happy to provide some advice.

Please retain all receipts of expenses as the treasurers may request these upon reimbursement. Failure to do so may prolong the reimbursement of funds.
